While finishing up Buhr Street # 1, an opportunity arose to purchase Buhr St # 2.

The house was on the Land Bank’s demo list. We made a phone call to get the property removed from the demo list and purchased the property.

We call this house the House of Lessons because so many were learned:

  • Bad Contractors

  • Theft from the Site

  • Project Delays

  • Budget Constraints

But the greatest lesson was that, when you are the GC, it is your responsibility to engage the trades and find the best price and never trust anyone. Even as an Owner, you are not exempt from knowing what is happening on the job site.

Buhr St #2 was officially rehabbed 2018 but is now currently being updated.
